The year was 1997 when God gave my wife and I the ideal and vision of a bi-weekly event called the Shekinah House. A place where people could come together and enjoy all types of ministry and fellowship. It would be an “alternative” to the current night club scene. A “Light Club” where anyone could come and hang out, fellowship and enjoy
The year was 1997 when God gave my wife and I the ideal and vision of a bi-weekly event called the Shekinah House. A place where people could come together and enjoy all types of ministry and fellowship. It would be an “alternative” to the current night club scene. A “Light Club” where anyone could come and hang out, fellowship and enjoy great entertainment that fed your soul. September 1997 was our first event and God gave us favor with an amazing Contemporary Christian Artist by the name of Tammy Trent. Week after week God brought in amazing local and national Artist; Lamar Campbell and Praise, Dr. Leonard Scott, A1-Swift, Dead Poet Society, just to name a few. In the fall of 1998 God opened another opportunity to serve the community with the Thanksgiving concert featuring Broderick E. Rice. With over eleven hundred people in attendance, thousands were raised and distributed to four local ministries to feed the hungry for Thanksgiving. Fast forward 26 years and God has stirred up the Vision of “the Shekinah House” in our hearts again. Hosted at “The Jewel Center” in Indianapolis, In. We are excited to see what God has planned for the rebirth of “the Shekinah House”.

Our mission at the Shekinah House is to create an environment for those to come and use their God given gifts and talents through the arts to encourage, build up and strengthen all who attend and to inspire others to do the same. The Shekinah House mission and goal also is to support by educating and bringing awareness of Urban Ministri
Our mission at the Shekinah House is to create an environment for those to come and use their God given gifts and talents through the arts to encourage, build up and strengthen all who attend and to inspire others to do the same. The Shekinah House mission and goal also is to support by educating and bringing awareness of Urban Ministries here in our city that are serving people living in urban areas, many of whom are dealing with issues related to poverty, inequality, and social injustice and to encourage others to support. All of us working together can make a tremendous impact here in our great city of Indianapolis IN and abroad.
